Our Family

Ry & Pen was founded in Toronto in early 2020 by me (Amy) and my husband (Jared).

We have two young daughters that we adore dearly (Riley & Penelope), so the name "Ry & Pen" pretty much speaks for itself.

We live in the city of Toronto, and are active members of our community. From participating in farmer's markets to shopping locally and running charitable events - we love doing our part to add a little extra sunshine to the city and people we know and love.

Our Inspiration

Our story started with a simple realization.

I found myself looking for premium sleepwear basics, but in simple colours like black and grey.

Truth be told, they were next to impossible to find. I mentioned the idea of creating our own line of products like this to my husband (not thinking much of it at the time).

The next thing you know, we found ourselves talking to local fabric suppliers, local sewing shops and ultimately starting our own family business, supporting Canadian companies and causes in the process!

To us, coziness and buttery softness is important. But not as important as creating the safest possible products for your precious little loved ones.
